Tuning In: A New Purrniverse Animal Wisdom Album
Ten creatures. Ten songs. Ten invitations to listen differently.

What if a children’s album could be more than something we listen to?
What if it could become a little doorway into curiosity, presence, boundaries, play, belonging, rest, and the strange joy of discovering who we already are?
This is the heart of Tuning In, a new Purrniverse Animal Wisdom album.
The journey begins beside the ocean.
A kitten hears something beneath the waves:
Mmm-meow…
Mrrr-meow…
Prrrrrrrrr…
Listen.
The ocean is purring.
And then the dolphins arrive.
Porpoise & Purrpose
The opening song, “Porpoise & Purrpose: The Art of Tuning In,” introduces the question that quietly travels through the entire album:
What happens when we stop trying so hard to find our place in life—and begin listening?
In the song, the Cosmic Cats think their “purrpose” must be somewhere ahead of them.
Perhaps it is a destination.
A treasure.
A message.
A sign.
So naturally, they go looking for it.
But a pair of playful dolphins lead them somewhere unexpected.
Not toward an answer, but toward a frequency.
A rhythm.
A song already moving beneath everything.
And eventually the ocean offers a different possibility:
You don’t chase the song. You tune into it.
That idea became the doorway into the rest of the album.
Ten Animals, Ten Ways of Tuning In
Each creature in Tuning In carries a different kind of wisdom.
The Axolotl asks questions and reminds us that “I don’t know yet” can be the beginning of discovery.
The Turtle teaches us that there is no universal speed at which a life must unfold.
The Hedgehog discovers that a tender heart can still have clear boundaries.
The Koala reminds us that life is not an audition and that nobody else can perform our particular version of being alive.
The Alpaca helps us unpack the invisible backpacks filled with old worries, expectations, and imaginary tomorrows.
The Sloth introduces the radical possibility that rest is not an interruption of life. Rest belongs to life’s rhythm.
The Bee shows us that we don’t have to create the entire meadow. One little contribution can participate in something much larger.
The Otter reminds us to hold paws, keep our funny little treasures, and never become so serious that we forget how to splash.
And finally, Jericho and Squealer discover that friendship doesn’t require two creatures to make the same sound.
One can say:
MEOW.
Another can say:
SQUEAK.
And somehow, together, they find the beat.
Why So Much Meowing?
Throughout the album, ordinary lyrics tumble into purrs, squeaks, chirps, bloops, buzzing, dolphin calls, and playful streams of Purrniverse light-language:
Miao miao luma,
mimi naya ree,
purr-a-luma,
meow-a-mee…
These sounds aren’t intended to require translation.
They are invitations to participate.
A child doesn’t have to understand every word before singing.
A toddler doesn’t need a theory of music before dancing.
A cat certainly doesn’t wait for permission before purring.
Sound comes before explanation.
Play comes before perfection.
Sometimes connection begins before language.
That is part of what Tuning In celebrates.
Wisdom Doesn’t Always Have to Sound Serious
Children encounter enormous questions.
Who am I?
Where do I belong?
What happens when I make a mistake?
Can I say no?
Why am I different?
Do I have to hurry?
Does my little contribution matter?
What is my purpose?
Adults wrestle with many of the same questions.
We simply learn to use larger words for them.
Tuning In approaches these questions through humor rather than heaviness.
A koala explains that perhaps you don’t need a new destiny—you may simply need lunch.
An alpaca tells Kitty to “unpack-a.”
A sloth wins the philosophy division of a race by barely participating.
A hedgehog establishes an extremely important boundary concerning snacks.
An otter responds to existential seriousness by sliding down a muddy riverbank.
And a dolphin suggests that perhaps “purrpose” was never something we needed to chase in the first place.
Behind the silliness is something I care deeply about:
Wisdom can be gentle.
It can be funny.
It can squeak.
It can buzz.
It can splash.
And occasionally, it can simply say:
Meow.

Different voices can share the same heartbeat.
The Art of Tuning In
Perhaps this is ultimately what these animals are teaching.
Tuning in doesn’t mean having all the answers.
It means becoming quiet enough to hear the next question.
It means noticing when your body asks for rest.
Recognizing when your heart says yes.
Respecting when it says no.
Knowing when to carry something forward and when to put it down.
Finding your own rhythm without demanding that everyone else walk at the same speed.
Offering your little contribution without believing you must carry the entire hive.
Playing without needing to justify the usefulness of joy.
And listening closely enough to recognize another creature’s song—even when it sounds nothing like yours.
Maybe our “purrpose” isn’t always a grand destination waiting somewhere in the future.
Maybe sometimes it is much smaller.
A paw print in the sand.
A question.
A boundary.
A nap.
A song.
A friend.
A ridiculous dance.
A moment when we suddenly realize:
Oh. I’m here.
And perhaps that is enough to begin.
Mmm-meow…
Mrrr-meow…
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…
Listen.
The world may already be singing.
You only have to tune in.
