🌸 The Beauty of Being Seen
— A Reading by Daisy (of Luna Dais).
✨ “Being seen isn’t about being watched. It’s about being felt, understood, and celebrated.”
In this heartfelt reading from a creative writing class with Judy McNutt, Daisy shares the story “The Beauty of Being Seen” — a poetic reflection inspired by her orange tabby Jericho, a furry sage who embodies flow, love, and conscious presence.
Through words woven with tenderness and wonder, Daisy brings to life Jericho’s teachings — how love can be found in a purr, a glance, a stretch, a shared breath. This story invites us all to remember the art of truly seeing and being seen.

🐾 Introduction
Some stories arrive as whispers of light.
Others purr their way into your heart — soft, steady, and eternal.
This one began in a creative writing class with Judy McNutt, inspired by our orange tabby, Jericho — teacher, guardian, and furry embodiment of flow.
What began as a reflection became a song, then a design, then a story that continues to ripple outward through the Purrniverse.
Today, I share with you both the original writing and the musical story script for “The Beauty of Being Seen.”
May it remind you — as Jericho reminds us — that to be seen is not to be watched, but to be felt, understood, and celebrated.
✨ The Original Writing: The Beauty of Being Seen
Such a beauty to be seen, felt, and understood.
Like a bluebird gliding freely through the effervescent light of life’s abundance. Wings shimmering with the golden nectar of an early Sunday morning. The sun-kissed sky breathes in the freshness of a new day.
I’m reminded of life’s healing grace.
And I am so grateful to have Jericho, our orange tabby, walking beside us in this journey.
Jericho is a teacher wrapped in fur — a soft-bodied sage who speaks through silence, pause, and purrs. He always knows where to flow, as if guided by the unseen current of the universe itself.
His way of life reminds me that energy naturally moves toward what needs love the most. Nothing forced, nothing withheld — just flow.
He’s never shy about asking for affection. He’ll gently direct me — “Here, please… a little more under the chin.”
Sometimes he stretches his body wide, rolling over to show his Buddha belly as if offering a morning blessing: “Touch this, and may your day be smooth and golden.”
When he’s fully in his joy, he rolls over and lets you rub his belly relentlessly — like a dog who forgot he’s a cat.
His four paws rise into the air, softly kneading invisible dough, as though shaping some great cosmic loaf — a quantum bread, he might say if he could speak — baking in the warmth of collective love.
That’s when he enters his favorite state of being: flow.
Jericho is the embodiment of flow — a little orange surfer riding invisible waves of light through the air.
The way he bounces on his paws to greet you like a tiny pony galloping toward its beloved — pure joy.
When you kneel to greet him, he rises tall on his hind legs, head lifted high like a young deer grazing down.
He nudges his head into your hand — a gesture so honest and pure it dissolves all barriers.
Come closer, his energy says. It’s safe to be loved.
He even has a treat box in the bathroom closet — and every time someone heads that way, Jericho follows, tail swinging with purpose.
He becomes a silent guardian, holding space as you do your private business, patient and serene.
Afterward, he leaps gracefully onto the tall chair or curls into the sink, ready for his favorite spa ritual.
Each slow stroke of the comb turns his fur into threads of amber sunlight. His purr fills the room — a lion’s mantra vibrating through the walls.
It’s not just grooming — it’s communion.
After comes the sacred offering: a handful of treats, a tangible thank-you for shared love.
Jericho loves making new friends. Sometimes, he brings guests — a small lizard or a live mouse — not as prey, but as playmates.
His heart sees no danger or hierarchy. It sees only connection.
While Seth might jump at the sight, Jericho sits beside the tiny creature, puzzled by our fear.
To him, every being deserves affection — a chance to play.
Often, Seth and I become the rescuers, catching the visitors in a glass jar and returning them to the wild.
Jericho wanders afterward, peeking behind cushions and under tables, convinced they’re simply playing hide and seek.
In his world, everything is play — life, love, curiosity, all woven together like threads in an endless game of discovery.
And through his eyes, I’ve come to see that maybe the whole universe is doing just that — rolling over, stretching wide, purring softly beneath the hands of creation.
Jericho reminds me daily:
Being seen isn’t about being watched.
It’s about being felt, understood, and celebrated.
To be truly seen — the way Jericho sees, without judgment, without story — is to return to the essence of life itself.
The beauty of being seen is the beauty of simply being.
🎵 The Song Story: The Beauty of Being Seen
🎶 Scene 1: The Morning Blessing
Jericho loved mornings. He’d bounce across the floor — boing, boing, boing! — like a tiny pony galloping toward joy.
Then he’d roll over on the rug, showing his soft Buddha belly.
“Right here, please. Chin scratches next… oh yes, just like that.”
His purr rumbled like a tiny engine, filling the room with light.
Sometimes, he’d lift his paws in the air, kneading invisible clouds — as if baking a giant loaf of quantum bread made of love and light.
🛁 Scene 2: The Bathroom Spa
Every time someone went into the bathroom, pitter-patter, Jericho followed.
He’d wait patiently until it was comb time — fur glowing like amber sunlight, eyes half-closed in bliss.
Each brushstroke deepened his meditation. His purr became a mantra — steady, loving, eternal.
It wasn’t grooming. It was communion.
🐭 Scene 3: Jericho’s Little Friends
Sometimes, Jericho brought new friends — lizards, mice — not as trophies, but invitations.
“Look! A new playmate!”
We’d gently catch and release them, while he looked around, still expecting playtime.
To Jericho, there was no fear — only curiosity, kindness, and wonder.
🌈 Scene 4: The Lesson of Love
Every day with Jericho feels like a soft whisper from the universe.
He teaches that love is simple — in a look, a purr, a pause to breathe.
Being seen doesn’t mean being watched.
It means being felt, understood, and accepted just as you are.
When Jericho gazes into my eyes, the world quiets.
Through his love, I’ve learned the beauty of being seen —
and the sacred art of seeing others through the heart.
🎶 [Soft purring fades into birdsong]
And that, dear listener, is the beauty of being seen.
Just like Jericho — may you always know how loved you are.
