🎶 The Beatles 60th San Diego Anniversary: A Night of Music, Memory, and Magic
September 1, 2025 | Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Balboa Park
✨ A Timeless Return
Sixty years ago, on August 28, 1965, The Beatles brought their whirlwind U.S. tour to San Diego’s Balboa Stadium. Thousands of fans filled the seats, screaming, singing, and witnessing a cultural moment that would echo for generations.
This Labor Day weekend, San Diego honored that history with a concert unlike any other: the Beatles 60th San Diego Anniversary Celebration at the iconic Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park.
🎹 Organ Meets Rock: Organism

The evening featured the Pavilion’s resident classic rock band, Organism, the only rock ensemble in the world to feature a real pipe organ as a central instrument.
The lineup included:
🎹 Raúl Prieto Ramírez – San Diego Civic Organist & Artistic Director
🎤 Chloe Lou – Vocals
🎸 Lauren Leigh – Vocals & Guitar
🎤 William Fleming – Vocals
🎸 Ben Zinn – Bass Guitar
🎸 Harley Magsino – Guitar
🥁 Richard “T-Bone” Larson – Drums
Together, they delivered 90 minutes of Beatles classics, reimagined through the Pavilion’s mighty 5,000-pipe outdoor organ, fused with guitars, vocals, and drums.
The sound was both familiar and fresh: timeless songs powered by an instrument that is itself a living piece of San Diego history.
🌌 A Night at the Pavilion
The Spreckels Organ Pavilion, built in 1914 and gifted to the city during the Panama–California Exposition, is the world’s largest outdoor pipe organ. Its ornate façade became a canvas for dazzling psychedelic 1960s-style projections, adding a visual celebration to the music.
As dusk turned into night, the Pavilion transformed into a living time capsule—merging the spirit of the ’60s with the grandeur of classical organ sound. Families, lifelong Beatles fans, and new generations alike gathered under the stars to sing along, sway, and celebrate.
🎶 Why It Matters
This event wasn’t just a concert. It was a community ritual of memory and joy.
The Beatles’ music has always carried vibrations of love, unity, and awakening. By bringing it into this historic space, San Diego honored both its own cultural legacy and the timelessness of music itself.
Organism reminded us that music can be both rooted in tradition and boldly innovative. And The Beatles, even six decades later, remain a universal language—bridging ages, cultures, and worlds.
🐾 A MeowTV Prelude
In the lead-up to the concert, MeowTV released a special warm-up interview with Jericho Melchizedek (the Cosmic Cat and Ambassador of the Purrniverse) and Seth Melchizedek. Together, they shared reflections on the Beatles’ 1965 San Diego concert, the magic of Organ-Ismic, and why music remains a cosmic bridge across time.
Their playful yet profound conversation set the tone for a night that was both nostalgic and transformative.

💭 Closing Reflection
Sixty years ago, San Diego witnessed history when four young men from Liverpool brought Beatlemania to the city. Sixty years later, the community gathered again—not in a stadium, but in a pavilion filled with pipes, projections, and passion—to honor that memory.
It was a reminder that music is eternal, and that joy, once kindled, continues to ripple through time.
